Khary Payton

Khary Payton is an American actor and Voice Over artist best known for his role as fan favorite King Ezekiel in AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Wakanda Forever! Khary debuts as Azzuri, T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) Grandfather and WWII era BLACK PANTHER, in the highly anticipated Marvel/Skydance Video Game, 1943: Rise of Hydra, premiering in 2026, the game
features groundbreaking technology and is being directed by multi-award winning Writer-Director Amy Hennig.

From one King to another, you can hear Khary voice the role of Penguin King in Universal’s animated global hit, based on the long running video game The Super Mario Bros. Movie. As well as Sovereign Uriel Tal’Dorei from Amazon’s The
Legend of Vox Machina.

According to cartoon fans, Payton has become synonymous with one of DC’s hottest heroes Cyborg, having voiced the character for over 20 years innumerous series, DVM’s, games and the critically acclaimed theatrical release of Teen Titans Go! To the Movies based on the number one cartoon series Teen Titans Go!, which has become the longest running animated superhero series of all time.

Other popular roles include Aqualad and Jefferson Pierce in the critically acclaimed series Young Justice, Black Samson in Amazon’s animated hit Invincible, Disney’s Big Hero 6: The Series as laser tech specialist Wasabi, Grimlock from Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Rafiki in Disney’s The Lion Guard. Some video games include The Sims, Reigel in StarCraft, Drebin in Metal Gear Solid, Azrael & Killer Croc in the Batman: Arkham franchise, Final Fantasy, Star Wars & Knox from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Payton co-wrote, produced & starred in the independent sci-fi feature, Astronaut: The Last Push. The film soared through festivals from London to LA, winning 13 awards including Best In Show at the IFS & Fargo Film Festivals. Payton took home three awards for Best Actor.
