A Klasse Akte

A Klasse Akte has been performing at Renaissance festivals and similar venues since 2009. The troupe currently consists of husband and wife duo Mark Allen and Tony Korol-Evans. Mark Allen is an actor, operatically trained lyric tenor, and intimacy choreographer who has worked a dozen Renaissance festivals across the country as part of A Klasse Akte, a pirate band, and as an individual performer and merchant. He has also performed at VisionCon as Scratch McKraken (the butt of everybody’s jokes). His partner in crime, Tony Korol-Evans, is an actor, director, dramaturg, and Tudor historian who received her Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama from Northwestern University in 2006. Tony began performing at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in 1998, and she has worked at 15 festivals across the country, portraying characters ranging from down-in-the-dirt peasants to reigning monarchs. In 2020, A Klasse Akte began an online presence in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they continue a livestream every Wednesday night on Facebook at facebook.com/aklasseakte. They currently perform every weekend of the Maryland Renaissance Festival at The Reveler’s Bower doing historical and hysterical edutainment on food, drink, and gambling. They are truly the troupe for all your vices. They can also be found online at patreon.com/aklasseakte and are available via email at aklasseakteaka@gmail.com.
