Want another chance to show off your cosplay, and meet up with friends you might see at Zenkaikon? Join us on April 9th at Sakura Sunday!

Sakura Sunday, run by the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP), celebrates the blooming of the sakura (cherry blossom) trees in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Attendees can enjoy musical performances, martial arts demonstrations, crafts, vendors, food, tours of Shofuso Japanese house, and more! Tickets are $15 at the event, or $10 purchased in advance online through March 31. It’s a great way to celebrate the coming of Spring!

Zenkaikon will have a booth at the festival and we would love for you to stop by! Visit us in your favorite cosplay and your photo might end up on the Zenkaikon website or Facebook!

Our booth will be located in the Little Akiba Area (map coming soon!)

Cosplay Fashion Show

Zenkaikon will again be hosting the Sakura Sunday Cosplay Fashion show! The Fashion Show will take place in the Little Akiba stage area at 2:30 p.m. Signups will be taken online until Friday, April 7 at midnight. Additional signups will be taken at the Zenkaikon booth at Sakura Sunday. More details including costume type specifications, how to sign up, check in and line-up times may be found here:

Cosplay Showcase

The Cosplay Showcase, featured on the Main Stage between 11:45-12:15PM. Come meet and greet some fabulous Cosplayers from Zenkaikon and other conventions as they show their work and discuss characters, construction and a bit about the hobby!  Signups will ONLY be taken online until Friday April 7 at midnight.There will be no additional signups at the festival.
