Zenkaikon has chosen to support the Lymphoma Research Foundation as our 2015 charity, in memory of longtime convention guest and friend C.J Henderson, who passed away from lymphoma in July of 2014.
The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to funding innovative research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services. To date, LRF has awarded more than $56 million in lymphoma-specific research.
LRF assists members of the lymphoma community by providing comprehensive, disease-specific programs and services to more than 43,000 people each year, including:
- Clinical Trials Information Service
- Disease-Specific Publications and Websites
- In-person Workshops and Educational Forums
- Lymphoma Helpline and Support Network
- Online Resources, Teleconferences and Webcasts/Podcasts
- Patient Aid Grants
- Professional Education
- Public Policy and Advocacy
On Sunday of the convention, Zenkaikon will be holding its' first annual Charity Auction, hosted by Zenkaikon 2015 guest Uncle Yo. 100% of funds raised at the auction will be donated to LRF.
We will also be collecting monetary donations at our merchandise booth, with donors who contribute $3 or more receiving a "Donor" button.
We hope you will join us to help Erase Lymphoma.
