Zenkaikon will be held at the Lancaster County Convention Center and Holiday Inn Lancaster

The Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Lancaster and surrounded by a variety of dining, shopping, and cultural attractions. It is also easily accessible via public transportation. Note that video gaming, tabletop gaming, and LARP will be located at the Holiday Inn Lancaster.

Zenkaikon is providing an ADA-compliant shuttle service between the Lancaster County Convention Center and Holiday Inn Lancaster that seats 56 people and can accommodate wheelchairs. This service will run continuously during this schedule:

Thursday: 6 PM – 12:00 AM
Friday: 10 AM – 1:30 AM
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 1:30 AM
Sunday: 9:30 AM – 4 PM

Parking

Zenkaikon has negotiated a reduced rate for parking in the garage attached to the Convention Center for $10.00 per day. If you are a guest at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, this reduced parking fee can be automatically added to your hotel room. If you are not staying at this hotel but parking in the garage, there will be vouchers available for you to pick up to receive the reduced parking rate. These vouchers are valid at the attached garage, as well as any parking garage owned by the Lancaster Parking Authority.

Accessible Parking

Handicap parking spaces are located in the Penn Square garage attached to the Center Center. If all spaces are full, individuals with a valid handicap license plate or hang tag may also park in any of the valet-only parking spaces.

Getting to Zenkaikon via Public Transportation

From Philadelphia

The easiest and fastest way to get to Lancaster from Philadelphia is by train. The Amtrak Keystone line leaves from Philadelphia 30th Street Station frequently throughout the day. The ride to Lancaster is just a little over an hour, and the train offers free wi-fi access.

Alternatively, Greyhound offers service from Philadelphia 30th Street Station or Norristown Transportation Center to Lancaster Station. (If leaving from Philadelphia 30th Street Station, you will need to make a transfer in Norristown.)

Once you arrive in Lancaster, follow these directions from Lancaster Station to the Lancaster County Convention Center.

Amtrak

Routes to Lancaster

The Amtrak Keystone and Pennsylvanian lines both stop at Lancaster Station. Both the Keystone and Pennsylvanian run from New York through New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Keystone line runs frequently throughout the day and ends at Harrisburg, while the Pennsylvanian runs once a day and continues to Pittsburgh. Both also offer free wi-fi.

The Keystone line has stops in the following locations: New York, NY (Penn Station); Newark, NJ (Penn Station); Newark, NJ (Airport); Iselin, NJ (Metropark); New Brunswick, NJ; Princeton Junction, NJ; Trenton, NJ; Cornwells Heights, PA; Philadelphia, PA (North Philadelphia); Philadelphia, PA (30th Street Station); Ardmore, PA; Paoli, PA; Exton, PA; Downingtown, PA; Coatesville, PA; Parkesburg, PA; Mount Joy, PA; Elizabethtown, PA; Middletown, PA; and Harrisburg, PA. 

The Pennsylvanian has stops in the following locations: New York, NY (Penn Station); Newark, NJ (Penn Station); Trenton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA (30th Street Station); Ardmore, PA; Paoli, PA; Exton, PA; Elizabethtown, PA; Harrisburg, PA; Lewistown, PA; Huntingdon, PA; Tyrone, PA; Altoona, PA; Johnstown, PA; Latrobe, PA; Greensburg, PA; and Pittsburgh, PA. 

If traveling from Boston, Baltimore, or Washington DC, you can take the Northeast Regional line and transfer to the Keystone line at Philadelphia 30th Street Station. If traveling from other points, the Carolinian (New York – Charlotte), Crescent (New York – Atlanta – New Orleans), Silver Service (New York – Miami) and Cardinal (New York – Cincinnati – Indianapolis – Chicago) routes all make stops at Philadelphia 30th Street Station, from which you can transfer to the Keystone line.

Greyhound

Greyhound has bus routes throughout the US, and has a stop at Lancaster Station in downtown Lancaster (the same location as the Amtrak train station). You can use Greyhound’s website to plan a route from your location to Lancaster.

Once you arrive in Lancaster, follow these directions from Lancaster Station to the Lancaster County Convention Center.

By Air

Lancaster Airport is 6.2 miles away from the Lancaster County Convention Center, and is served by Southern Airways Express. The airline hosts direct flights between Lancaster Airport (LNS) and Baltimore, MD (BWI) or Pittsburg, PA (PIT). Flights are approximately 40 minutes from Baltimore and 80 minutes from Pittsburg.

Alternatively, you can fly into Harrisburg International Airport. This airport is served by multiple airlines and has nonstop routes from 12 U.S. cities including Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, and Atlanta. You could then rent a car at Harrisburg International (about a 35 minute drive to the Convention Center), or take a taxi to the Harrisburg Amtrak station (about a 15 minute ride), and take the Amtrak Keystone line to Lancaster. If you take the train, you would then follow these directions from Lancaster Station to the Lancaster County Convention Center.

Another option would be to fly into Philadelphia International Airport. You could then rent a car at Philadelphia International (about a 1 hour 40 minute drive), or catch the SEPTA Airport Line to Philadelphia 30th Street Station, and then follow the “From Philadelphia” directions above.

From Lancaster Station

It’s 1.2 mile walk from Lancaster Station to the Lancaster County Convention Center (click here for walking directions).

On weekdays from 5am to 6pm, the Red Rose Transit Historic Downtown Trolley stops at Lancaster Station. You would get off at the Fulton Bank stop which is across the street from the Convention Center. It is approximately a 12 minute trip and the fare is $1.70. 

If traveling on Saturday or Sunday (or after 6pm on weekdays), you can use the Route 3/Park City C bus. If traveling from Lancaster Station, we suggest you may want to embark at the Liberty & Prince Sts. stop (0.2 miles away), and disembark at the Chestnut & Queen Sts. stop, which is approximately two blocks from the Convention Center. It is approximately a 10-15 minutes trip and the fare is $1.70. While you can embark this bus at the McGovern Ave. & Queen Sts. stop right in front of the train station, because of the route the bus travels, it would be a 30-40 minute ride. Alternatively, cabs are usually available outside of the train station. Fare to the Convention Center is approximately $7-8. Below are two local cab companies:
