A Message from Our Chair
Hello, everyone! On behalf of the Zenkaikon staff, I wanted to share some thoughts on our upcoming convention.
The phrase "good things come to those who wait" holds true in many of life's situations, and definitely in this case. For the past few months, we have been working hard to obtain a new convention space for our event -- one that can accommodate our growth and suit our needs much better than in previous years. We are now happy to announce that these efforts have been rewarded. Zenkaikon V will take up an entire floor of the Valley Forge Convention Center as well as many rooms in the Scanticon Hotel and Conference Center. Our new location is about four times the size of last year's convention space!
Additionally, for all of you who have been waiting and hoping for Zenkaikon to become a three day event, you now have your wish. Zenkaikon V will take place from March 18-20, 2011. While this is a few months later than our events in previous years, we expect the spring time frame will bring us more pleasant weather, as well as time to plan, prepare, and acquire staff for our biggest convention yet. We are very excited about this opportunity to offer more programming, more space, and more fun, and hope you are as well!
Don't forget to keep an eye on our website, as we will have plenty of upcoming announcements regarding guests, events, registration, and much more over the coming months.
I, and the rest of the staff, would like to thank you all for your support over the years that has made all of this possible. We are confident you'll feel it was well worth the wait!
Thanks again, and I'll see you at the con!
