The problem with that is, as avatared said, people would most likely still be arriving before noon. There wouldn't be nearly as many people there as everyone would want. As I said, no matter when it is to be scheduled, we're going to be missing something, whether it's a high turnout or a panel or two. What people are willing to put up with, though, will determine when the photoshoot takes place.

If you don't want to go to Whose Line is it Anime? or potentially the Masquerade itself, choose Avatared's plan.

If you don't want to go to the AMV contest or the Axelrod and Nishimura autograph sessions, choose my plan.

If you don't mind there being fewer people at the shoot that there could be if it were later, choose Pezzidge's plan.

If you don't want to go to the Dating, Match, or Name that Tune games, we can go after the Masquerade. Any later, and we would conflict with the Rave, something no one would want to do.

I would like to go with Avatarded's plan, actually. I am having a costume judged, so unfortunately that would conflict with the 12-2 time slot. I would need time to change and find the meetup location.

At zetsubou sensei-- I see your point. I was trying to figure out a time that would let everyone who wanted to see the masquerdae go because it's definitely one of the biggest events on Saturday. I am definitely not trying to compete with the Masquerade because I will be in the walk ons at the end and so I have to be present for the entire masquerade. Just like Pezzidge I'm going to be in the craftsmanship judging from 2 until 3. One thing I'm not getting about the schedule is that it says in the 3 pm - 5 pm slot "Check in for Pre-Registered Entrants (HCC, Dating Game and Masq) will be in the 76 Tavern from 10 am until 1:30 pm". That really doesn't make any sense-- the slot is 3 until 5 but the description says 10am until 1:30? Does anyone else know what's up with that? Because if we did the meetup around 3 or 4 assuming that it didn't conflict with that weird portion wouldn't it be fine? We'd be missing the last half of Uncle Yo's comedy hour but he's done the same act for the last few cons he's been at and I don't know if Zenkaikon would be any different. Personally I would attend the meetup over that or the other panels at that time. I think that if we can get that at-con regestration period set straight 3-3:30 or 3:45 would be a good time. I'll email the staff and see what that whole at-con registration times confusion is about.

Oh and Pezzidge's idea with two gatherings could be a good plan. That way it'd be less at each shoot but since Zenkai's a smaller con we'll probably see everyone around anyway. Plus that way everyone could attend a shoot.

EDIT: I emailed the staff about the scheduling concerns and I am currently waiting for a response. I will post as soon as I hear any further information.

The 2PM - 5PM time slot is Hall Cosplay Contest judging in the Otaku Lounge. The blurb after that is for check-in which is from 10AM - 130PM in the 76 Tavern. At the check-in, you will sign up for your judging times between 2-5. The time slots are on a first come basis, so the sooner you check-in for the cosplay events, the sooner you can pick your judging times. If you happen to check in later, you will have to choose from the remaining time slots left for judging.

Then considering that I'll probably end up with one of the later slots an earlier time is probably better for me. Would 2 be okay for anyone?

First judging time slot will be at 2:12PM, in order for us to set up the Otaku Lounge for our use.

Well I'm assuming that since it's the night before the con and the timing is still not resolved we're not going to be having a photoshoot.

Although I doubt that anyone will get this, could we agree to a 12 Noon Sunday photoshoot, outside near the fountains?

So it looks like there was never really a photoshoot. But that's okay, Avatarded found me and my friends and we basically through together an improvised shoot. Also, I don't know think Ray, Xig, Larx and I would've been able to make a scheduled shoot. We didn't make anything on time really, cause we kept getting stopped.
